They will come to know properties and testing of water, aggregate and other admixtures. They will study formwork requirements, concrete designing, mixing, handling, transporting, placing, compacting and curing of concrete. IS 102626 guidelines and tips to avoid failure of concrete will be taught.

Shape, Texture, Strength, Test, Water Absorption & Moisture Correction, Handling, Storage Day 4 / 2 hr - Water, Quality of Water, Effects of Water on concrete, Electromagnetic Water, Sea Water, Recycled Water Day 5 / 2 hr - Admixtures, Plasticizes, Super Plasticizes, HRWR, Compatibility, Types, Dosage, Magic of Admixtures Day 6 / 3 hr - Workability, Slump Cone Test, Flow Table Test, Segregation, Bleeding, Cracks, Shrinkage. Day 7 / 2 hr - Ready Mix Concrete, Batching, Mixing, Transportation, Pumps & Pipeline, Form work Requirements Day 8 / 2 hr - Placing , Compaction of Concrete, Finishing, Curing of Concrete Day 9 / 2 hr - Strength of Concrete, W/c Ratio, Factors of Concrete, ACT, Cube Test, NDT, Core test, Failures of Cubes Day 10 / 2 hr - Durability, RCPT, Water Penetration, Design & Detailing Day 11 / 2 hr - Mix Design of Concrete, Std Deviation, Acceptance Criteria, IS 102626 guidelines Day 12 / 2 hr - Special Concretes , Applications, SCC, Light Weight, HVFA etc used in world famous structures Day 13 - Certification Note - Test in MCQ format is taken - 1st after completion of 12 hrs course and 2nd at the end.
